1. đź’ľ Lab: ASDFASDF
1.1. Academic Honesty
Academic honesty: Labs are meant to be solo-effort, done by you without human or LLM/AI assistance. The exception here is getting help from the instructor or the Academic Achievement Center tutors. I’ve written each lab to help you build a “scaffolding” as you learn new topics, in a way that will help you put everything together later in the projects.
1.2. Reference
Answer these questions to help you complete the lab! (Keep your answers in your notes! You don't need to turn these in.)

1.4.1. Add, commit, and push with Git
- On your computer, open GitBash or the terminal from inside of your repository folder.
- View updates: Use
git statusto view all pending changes. - Add changes: Use
git add *.cppto add only the C++ source files that have changed to your pending changeset. - Commit changes: Use
git commit -m "description", where the description should be information about what you've changed. Making a commit bundles all pending added changes together in one changeset. - Pull from server: Use
git pullto make sure you have all the latest changes from the server. (This will mostly come into play when the instructor adds new starter code to your repository.) - Push to server: Use
git pushto send your changes to the GitLab server.
1.4.2. Turning in on Canvas
- Copy the lab folder URL: Go to your repository webpage on GitLab. Copy the URL from your project folder.
- Start the Canvas assignment: On the Canvas assignment, click “Start Assignment”.
- Submit the URL in the assignment: Paste in the website URL then click “Submit Assignment”.
